Seniors week: learn how to write a blog

The second in our NSW Seniors Week program is
Sharing your story in small bites: write a blog

Obviously you are interested in blogs if you are reading this. 

Would you like to learn how easy it is to start your own?

Learn from one of Australia’s foremost bloggers, Geniaus (aka Jill Ball), how you can use blogs to:

- preserve your stories, 
- record your travels, 
- share your recipes, or  
- keep a journal. 

Examples of different types of blogs will be provided.

It is on Wednesday 12 March from 10.30am to approximately 12.30pm.
It will be held in Gordon Library Meeting Room 1 - between our research rooms and the Gordon Library (799 Pacific Highway Gordon).

It is free to all but as morning tea is provided, please RSVP.

You are invited to join Jill Ball in the KHS Rooms on Thursday June 6 at 10:30 am to learn about Social Media. Jill will present a short talk on social media and how it may benefit historians and genealogists and then attempt to answer any questions you may have on the topic.

Friday Event in the Society Rooms

This Friday between 10:30 am and 12:30pm Society President, Jackie van Bergen and Committee Member, Jill Ball will conduct a free workshop on Social Media in the Society Rooms.

You will learn about our Blog and Facebook pages and how to access them.  We will also take a peek at some other interesting blogs.  Please bring along your questions and we will endeavour to address them. If you and your friends are curious about Social Media please join us in this informal meeting where we will try to demystify the world of Social Media.
