The Society has a vast range of materials to assist members and the general public undertake research about their homes, who lived in those homes previously, the local environment and related issues.

Our collection includes:
  • Original Land Grants and some memorials
  • Water Board Sketches
  • Council Maps
  • Auction maps
  • Deposited Plans
  • Some land titles
  • Sands directories
  • Heritage listings
  • Details of some of the key architects and builders in Ku-ring-gai.
  • A range of photographs of significant homes either put up for sale or auction.
  • Photographs of houses subject to development or have been redeveloped.
To assist you identify the style of housing we have reference sources that highlight the characteristics of various styles.

Our specialist group dealing with built heritage is available in our research centre on Tuesday between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
